Uptown Apartments
Fifth Avenue, Pittsburgh

This 50,000 square foot apartment building with a mix of forty five 2 bedroom, 1 bedroom and studio apartments represents the first significant new construction in the Uptown section of Pittsburgh in nearly 50 years. Coupled with other developments happening in the area, this project is expected to be transformational for the neighborhood.

The facade is activated by careful detailing which avoids the repetitive and institutional feel of so many economical apartment buildings. Adjustments to the massing help settle the large building into its context, and open up internal areas of the footprint for light and views of downtown. A double height glass lobby provides an inviting entry and public street presence. The unique site topography is utilized to efficiently layout two levels of parking.

Construction is scheduled to be complete in 2012.
