Serving as a beacon of light, the People’s Gate Eternal Flame Monument’s scale and form exemplify the spirit of the ever forward moving, steel-rooted city of Pittsburgh. The Pittsburgh Penguins logo and the triangular shape of the historic steel city itself, prompted the triangular plan encompassed in a circle.
